Fall 2026
Every fellow leads a course of record from their first semester, putting evidence-based teaching directly into the undergraduate curriculum across six units of the college.

Completion
Successful completion of the E3 Fellows Program is demonstrated through three requirements, assessed alongside continuous formative feedback from faculty mentors.
One of three Fall 2026 options offered by the University of Florida Center for Teaching Excellence: the Teaching Excellence Academy, the Harnessing AI for Teaching & Learning Faculty Learning Community, or the Leveraging AI to Create Quality Accessible Course Materials Faculty Learning Community.
Deployed in a Spring 2027 course of record and systematically evaluated, culminating in a scholarly teaching presentation at the CTE Interface Conference.
Conducted jointly by the faculty mentor(s) and the Department or Unit Chair, assessing the fellow’s overall growth and readiness as an engineering educator.
For fellows
Three courses of record taught across two semesters, with documented formative feedback on planning, instruction, assessment, and student engagement.
A completed University of Florida Center for Teaching Excellence certificate or program track.
A designed, implemented, and evaluated instructional innovation, presented publicly at the CTE Interface Conference.
Habits of observation, reflection, and iteration developed through sustained mentorship and guided classroom observation.
An ongoing professional relationship with an experienced faculty mentor, and a documented assessment of readiness as an engineering educator.
Connection to UF’s broader teaching-development ecosystem and to a cross-disciplinary cohort of peers.
For departments & students
Because fellows teach courses of record and implement their innovations inside real classrooms, the program’s effects reach students during the appointment itself — not only afterward.
Dissemination
Every fellow’s innovation is evaluated systematically and shared publicly at the University of Florida Center for Teaching Excellence Interface Conference — turning individual teaching practice into a contribution the wider community can learn from.

Innovation abstracts, conference presentations, and program evaluation results from the 2026–27 cohort will be published here as the year progresses.
