Faculty mentors
Every fellow is paired with an experienced mentor.
Mentors are experienced faculty who meet biweekly with their fellow in preparation for and through the semester, then monthly. They observe classes, give formative feedback on planning, instruction, assessment, and student engagement, and advise on the instructional innovation and scholarly teaching project.
At the end of the year, mentors join the Department or Unit Chair in a final structured evaluation of the fellow’s growth and readiness as an engineering educator.
